There are no books published in a long time.

I believe Blue Rose was meant to be a limited run. However since its very existence spawned True20, there are other products out there (particularly setting books) which could easily be used to expand on it.

Blue Rose was planned to be a three book set from the beginning, but the system is still being supported through True20 (admittedly with a few changes, but you can still use most of it with minimal conversion).

IMHO, saying that Green Ronin "abandoned" the game line is a bit dramatic, and would be like saying that the author of (fill in any book or movie trilogy here) abandoned their work simply because they stopped writing when it was finished.

Of course you are entitled to your own oppinion re: abandonment, but that is my 2 cents.

As Kommando & Dragonspawn said, it's not abandoned, it's completed. That was a big part of its appeal for me as a matter of fact: the whole game is in three books.

I see... then it's up to me and the fans to flesh out our own campaigns and adventures

On saying that, I would love to see a revised edition incorporating several of the improvements from True 20. Either as a setting book for use with True 20 or a big 500 page hardback with all three books included and reedited :)
Playing: Doomstones (WFRP2e); Shades of Terra (Exalted: Dragonblooded)
Running: Incarnadine Crucible (Exalted: Alchemicals)
Planning: Tale of Two Houses (Mistborn)
