Hello fellow gamers!
I'm thinking about making a large play by post game that can be open to all (I understand hard to do). Before I do this, however, I'd like to get an idea of who'd be interested.
Anyone?

I'm potentially interested, depending on setting and pace.

Basically, what Shadow said.
My one and only experience with PbP was an extremely free-form game (downtime RP and some side adventures for a tabletop campaign), but I'm willing to learn.

To clarify about pace: It's important to me that the game keep moving. If it's too long between posts, it's hard for me to keep up my interest.

I want to make sure that there's enough interest to warrant frequent posting. It wouldn't be hard for me to form an "open world" game at all. I'm going to try to recruit more players.

And to clarify...I would have a fairly frequent pace on posting....1-2 times per day, but that would depend on what responses are.

So I'm just throwing some questions out there for more thinking. Does anyone have a preference between modern, sci-fi, or fantasy? I'm planning on having various levels of power use per area, so the time frame doesn't make too much of a difference for me.

I'm pretty easy. I'd even be okay with a mashup of some sort - alternate worlds, perhaps - that combines them.
That said, thinking it over a little, I could go for an SF setting in which the group had their own little ship and were out exploring or trading and getting into trouble. :) Maybe with some psi powers, but nothing too overt.
I'm kind of in the mood for exploring strange new worlds - or perhaps strange new lands, in a fantasy setting.

Sorry about the delay everyone. I am a graduate student elbow deep in difficult papers. I haven't forgotten and I haven't intended to put this project off. Between school, work, and my own writing projects as an aspiring author, I haven't taken enough time to elaborate on this game that I still want to do.
Sincerely, I'm sorry.
I've made a few decisions as far as game content goes. The game will be predominantly sci-fi with strong potential for supernatural powers (depending on the world I suppose). Soon, I will start a post for the main PCs to create characters.
